Writer and artist Gene Willoughby, II is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BA in English and Writing. He also earned an MFA in Creative Writing at Full Sail University where he was valedictorian of his class and recipient of a Course Director’s Award. Presently, he enjoys teaching Literature and Composition to middle school students in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
He loves superheroes, science-fiction, and animation as well as classic ‘90s hip hop. When he isn’t mining the secret worlds in his head for new stories, Gene can be found with his beautiful wife Tameshia and their two awesome, inspirational children Alaysia and Jalen.
