Location and Times!

The VA Comicon is at the MAGNUSON (formerly CROWNE PLAZA WEST) (6531 West Broad Street Richmond, VA 23230) in Richmond, VA on Sunday, February 17, 2013, and Sunday, April 28th, 2013  from 10AM to 3:30pm! Admission to ALL SHOWS is FREE if you register for the events HERE. If you decide NOT to register, we ask for a small $5 donation to an on-site charity per person, per show.

Directions: From I-95 take the I-64 West Exit #79 towards Charlottesville. Follow for 3.2 miles, and then take exit #183B. Go 0.4 miles to hotel on your RIGHT. The event entrance is near the BACK of the Magnuson, where there is plenty of FREE parking! Mass Transit info is HERE.

Richmond has a very strange mass transit system, and you will always need to call in advance for taxi cabs. but…not to worry! We have prepped this page to help you out, so you can safely and easily get to and from the show! Since we are located right off of I-95 and I-64, we recommend the Bus system to be the easiest way to get to Richmond. There are several choices, including Greyhound, and the “Chinatown Bus” that makes stops in many major East Coast towns, and is typically the cheapest way to get to Richmond.   The EASIEST …

We are pleased to welcome the Wieringo Scholarship back to the Virignia Comicon! Operated in part by Mike’s brother Matt, the Wieringo Scholarship helps to sponsor a scholarship program at the Savannah College of Art and Design, one of the top schools for comic illustrators in the country.
