Andrew Stronge

Andrew Barrington Stronge was born in the small town of Sunderland in the northern part of England. At the age of seven, he moved to central Virginia, and now resides just outside of Charlottesville.
During the day, Andrew manages a screen printing shop called Crazy Horse Studio where he takes client’s visions and turns them into reality, but on his off-time Andrew works for Stronge Designs, the company he founded to produce his own creations. Known primarily for his robots, Andrew’s work is easily identifiable, featuring strong, clean lines and bold designs. He draws inspiration from pop art, classic sci-fi, and his three dogs. While Andrew started out as mostly a painter, and still sells prints of his early work, lately his preferred medium has been limited edition screen printed posters. Andrew has contributed and regularly participated in the popular Screens ‘n’ Suds charity event in Richmond, since 2009. Through Stronge Designs, Andrew does custom illustration, and graphic design, and he also exhibits his paintings, prints, t-shirts, books, hand-painted magnets and other forms of art at area events.
